What I most remember about Mary was her kindness. You didn't have to be part of the in group...so to speak..she always had a kind and friendly word and way about her. She is definitly a lady that will be missed. My condolences  also , to her family

Mary and I caught up when she was planning one of the reunions. We stayed in touch for a while and exchanged Christmas cards for several years. She was always so much fun to be around in high school and it was wonderful to become reunited after such a long hiatus. But we reconnected as if no time had ever passed.

My deepest condolences to Joh, her children and her beloved grandchildren. Rest in peace, Mary.

So sad, Mary was a class act. She lit up the room with her personality. My condolences to her family. Carl

I met Mary in the seventh grade when she and Barbara Duel invited me to join their very cool group, "The Earth Angels!" They were the most popular girls in our grade at Church St. School in Hamden! I was reluctant to join since I wasn't that popular but before long I must have achieved some pop status from them since I became an active member! Mary was so outgoing and full of life! We were already interested in boys and had many meetings to plot how we could get them interested in us! And ah yes....all the time that "Earth Angel" record playing on the recond player. Cute as could be with her red hair and freckles which we both had!

I wish her family condolences and know that they too will cherish so many fond memories of her.

Warm regards,

Carol Ardito Amato

Mary, the beautiful redhead, was a friend to all!  We pledged Kappa sorority together......(the forbidden but "allowed" social group at HHS).  Always with a smile...whether we were in school, at a hockey game, or a football game, or going to the Glenwood.......it was always a happy time if Mary was there!   Heaven has another angel!
