CURRENTLY:
I teach jazz improvisation and jazz theory in Longmont, Colorado. I coach a jazz quintet (old farts, 60 years old and older). We perform twice a year at homes of friends.

Purchased my Longmont home in summer of 2014—Dutch Colonial built in 1906. Lots of upkeep, but I love it. The home reminds me of my family's first home on Alstrum Street in Hamden, CT; it, too, was a Dutch Colonial.

Meet Frank Sinatra

What did you always want to do but have not done yet:

learn to speak Italian. Finally, I returned to Florence this year and enrolled in a four-week, six hour a day Italian language Intensive. It was interesting to see how my seventy year-old mind dealt with the presentation of material.

I've been a Buddhist practitioner for forty years.

Biggest thing that you would do differently, if you went back to your time in high school:

Everything I've done has led to this moment; I'm happy with that.

Don't argue with the tree that fell on your head.

Lots, but I did them anyway. I'm better for it.
